To hell with new year's resolutions?

Wahey! And welcome to a new year! Once again.....how grim...

I've had so many people wishing me a happy new year. I usually respond with a "happy new year to you too" in return but with less enthusiasm. New year isn't a big deal to me. It's another day another year...I'm sure many people would argue my point. I'd probably say something along the lines of "my new year hasn't started...it's in February and then I'll celebrate more". Truth or excuse? I haven't decided.

New year resolutions. I make a poor attempt at them too. The usual - don't play with hair (my mum complains about that one, especially when I used to bite it when I was little) and keep my room tidy. Shall I make the same ones again this year? Hah. Well the don't play with hair one I'm not too bad at keeping. I only play when i fidget. Talking about fidgeting, I did that a lot during a showing of 'The Hobbit' in the cinema. That was one awesome film. Best I've seen in a long time. I came out wanting to re-watch all of the Lord of the Rings...which I will do at one point. The Gollum scene was my favourite - the riddles were awesome! Anyway, the tidy the room resolution comes every year - as one would expect. I used to be tidy and now I have clothes thrown all over the room and I have no place to put them.

I have to clear the newspaper pile in my room too. Every weekday, my sister brings home the Metro, the Evening Standard, as well as the magazines like Time Out and the Stylist. So they all get dumped into a pile in my room which I'm suppose to read. The earliest newspaper in my pile is dated May 8th of last year. Now you can guess how bad it looks. Don't worry, it's not as bad as you may think. I've read a few papers here and there since then so the pile isn't hitting my ceiling...as yet!

What's your new year's resolutions?
