I was right. The parcel was mine. My sister came home "crying", complaining how big the parcel was and how it couldn't fit into the little bag she had prepared for it, and how it wasn't for her and she still had to go and collect it, etc etc etc. She went to get it in the pouring rain (non-stop rain so she got pretty soaked!) and had to walk a bit because of the road closure. I laughed my ass off when she said it was for me. And you know what made me laugh even harder? I opened it up and all it was.....get ready for it........*drumroll please*.........it was a single packet of crisps.
I'm quite fond of being a guinea pig for testing. I do these little surveys and try out products and get compensated for it. Isn't life great? In this case, they sent me a new packet of flavoured crisps from a well-known brand and were looking for people to try out their product and give their opinion of it. My sister said she would've torn the box apart if she had known what she was carrying back home. Hahahaha...
Anyway, on another note, I put up my little christmas tree a couple of days ago. Looks exactly as it did last year. Oh what difference a year makes! I think it looks reasonably pretty. A little artificial one. I haven't been lucky enough to experience the joys of having a real tree with the added messiness of pine needles all over the floor. But I want to check out the smell of christmas trees that everyone raves on about. I feel poor!
This is my tree. I just took the photo to share and after looking at it, I feel quite sorry it. I had to pluck my tree from its resting place and stick it by the door because my room is far too messy for anyone's eyes. See? Even the calendar I have stuck on the door hasn't even been crossed off. Apparently we're still in November. How embarassing! I blame christmas. This is what christmas does to me. No time for anything! I've barely started on my christmas shopping and I'll be working all of this week so I'm wondering when I will be able to squeeze in some time for all that hassle.
Do you think my tree is lame? I can tell you it looks much nicer up close than it does it pictures. Like how the ocean looks prettier close up than in pictures. You know what I mean.........

What's in the parcel Mr postie?
Gah! I'm so sleepy! And it's so early! It hasn't even hit midnight as I write this.
I never ended up going to see the suicidal squirrel taxidermy - sad face. I'm sorry no picture for you but I'm sure you can google it. When I looked up the details of the exhibition again, I realised I had less than a week to go visit but I ended up working last minute so unfortunately I could not make it. Next time I say. I guess it was mostly the squirrel I wanted to see - the rest was a bit meh for my liking.
The postman left a "Something for you" postcard on my doormat the other day. It was addressed to my sister but she denies ordering anything online and wasn't expecting anything in the post. It's been a couple of days now since we've received that and I'm so CURIOUS to find out what it is exactly.
I'm one of those that love love love receiving post. Whether it be bills or not, I just love it! It's like christmas to me. I guess you could say it's most probably the idea of receiving something and the opening of that something that makes me go oooooh (I tend to use scissors to open mine). Just like getting presents! Honestly though - it's not what's inside that makes me happy. I would -----> open -----> go woohoo! -----> then put it aside and forget about it. Whenever my sister receives a parcel, she now knows to give it to me to open :D
Small things excite me.
So now the curiosity of that "package" that could not fit through the door is killing me. We've received post in the past addressed to me but somehow it had my sister's name on the card, so here's me hoping that there is some miniscule likelihood that it belongs to me. Wishful thinking! Right now I'm wondering if I should trek up to the post office to get it......but the walk, the walk! I have to walk! It will take me around 40 minutes to get there. We have a road closure so I can't bus it up there *tears*. What to do? What to do?
My prediction: I will get far too lazy and wait for my sister to go and collect it on Wednesday.
Of course I'm patient!
